Through membership of Sheffield Woodturning Club I've had the privilege of watching and learning from many of the finest woodturners on the circuit. In 2015 I took the AWGB demonstrator course, since then I have joined others in demonstrating at clubs and events around the UK. In 2017 I took a further AWGB course to become an approved tutor giving me the confidence to pass on the skills I've learned to others through tailored tuition from my workshop in Chesterfield.
The work I do is varied ranging from architectural pieces to treen, from artistic feature pieces to components for furniture restoration, I sincerely think this is the way to develop as a turner.
I am pleased to take on commission work, typically artistic pieces, architectural features, replacement components for furniture repairs and restoration and small batches of copy turning. Please note that I am not a production turner so I'm afraid I can't help you with large production runs. Please use the Contact Me page to let me know your requirements.
Tuition is provided from my well equipped workshop which is equipped with dedicated equipment and tools for use by the student. Take a look at my Tuition page for details of training provided and associated costs.
Please note that the first available dates for tuition are now in 2023 so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Please note that I am now booked up for 2023 demonstrations, future bookings are also being taken.
Covid-19 has changed the world and while I strongly believe that IRDs (Interactive Remote Demonstrations) are here to stay, there's still no substitute club meetings. I can offer both options, either meetings at your club venue or IRDs you can view from the comfort of your armchair.
Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
