Through membership of Sheffield Woodturning Club I've had the privilege of watching and learning from many of the finest woodturners on the circuit. In 2015 I took the AWGB demonstrator course, since then I have joined others in demonstrating at clubs and events around the UK. In 2017 I took a further AWGB course to become an approved tutor giving me the confidence to pass on the skills I've learned to others through tailored tuition from my workshop in Chesterfield.
The work I do is varied ranging from architectural pieces to treen, from artistic feature pieces to components for furniture restoration, I sincerely think this is the way to develop as a turner.
I am pleased to take on commission work, typically artistic pieces, architectural features, replacement components for furniture repeirs and restoration and small batches of copy turning. Please note that I am not a production turner so I'm afraid I can't help you with large production runs. Please use the Contact Me page to let me know your requirements.
Tuition is provided from my well equipped workshop which is equipped with dedicated equipment and tools for use by the student. Courses are typically delivered on a one to one basis ensuring that as a student you have my undivided attention at all times
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, the impact of Covid-19 on the demonstration calendar has been profound. We can but hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and 2021 allows us to meet in person again.
The woodturning world has embraced technology with IRDs (Interactive Remote Demonstrations) being the new norm for national and internation demonstrations.
I'm now ready to present IRDs to you and your clubs in the comfort of your armchair, if this is of interest then please contact me to discuss options.
